Why isn’t Unity Asset working?

Unity Asset was tested in Environment indicated in Documentation.

To get a complete asset, you just need to follow the tutorial of Target Asset with:

  • New Unity Project (with the correct version of Unity),
  • Correct Versions of All Other Software.

Unity Package Manager (UPM) Issues

Native Camera – Hot Fix for v1.3.7 – For Unity Assets that require v1.3.3

Due to changes in Android 13, Native Camera (Git Package) was updated. To fix the issues after importing target Unity Asset, please indicate false value in the next calls:

  • NativeCamera.RequestPermission(false);
  • NativeCamera.CheckPermission(false).
Official Unity Packages

Official Packages are installed with the target version indicated in docs, because this info is contained in the target Unity Asset (works for assets in “Templates” category on Unity Assets Store).

If you need a specific version of a target Official Unity Package, you can set it manually in the next file:
Project Folder > Packages > manifest.json.

Git Packages

Git Package is installed with the latest version by default, and not with the target version.

To install the target version indicated in the docs, you need to set manually the correct Hash value (commit indicator) which represents the target version of the package in the next file:
Folder of your Unity Project > Packages > packages-lock.json.

Hash value can be got from the commit link.
For example, let’s get the Hash value for the Native Camera 1.3.3:

  1. Open Git Repository of Native Camera.
  2. You can get hash value from different places: Releases, Tags, Commits.
  3. Find the Version 1.3.3 from Releases and the commit link with the title “72fca3d” near the date: github.com/yasirkula/UnityNativeCamera/commit/72fca3d1fc09efca842f1c1a50c13048bc8cd500 where 72fca3d1fc09efca842f1c1a50c13048bc8cd500 is a Hash value.

    Refund

    Dear Developer, I am here to provide you the best experience to create amazing games and apps with Unity. If the asset you purchased has bugs and I can’t fix them then you are eligible to request a refund.

    Before Purchasing

    If you have questions before purchasing you can just email me and I will answer you to all your questions.

    Trial License

    There is no trial (demo) license. You can’t buy the asset for testing purposes, test it and request the refund.

    Before requesting a refund

    • Read the asset’s documentation;
    • Check the asset’s comments page, as you may find a solution to your issue there;
    • Contact the author by Email;
    • Ensure the asset is being used for its intended function and purpose (check the asset description), Eg. is the asset meant to be compatible with your Unity software version? (if not — contact the author, the updated version will be released as soon as possible).

    Why a refund may not be given

    If the item is materially similar to the description, screenshots, video promo and works the way it should, there is generally no obligation to provide a refund in situations like the following:

    • you don’t want it after you’ve downloaded it;
    • the item did not meet your expectations;
    • you simply change your mind;
    • you bought an item by mistake;
    • you do not have sufficient expertise to use the item;
    • you ask for goodwill.
